The Wedding Cake was selected by the lovely Fantaspoa Film Festival of Porto Alegre (BR) in 2021. Unfortunately, the festival could only be held online back then, but luckily – during the coming Noite dos Museus (“Night of Museums”) that will take place on May 20th – “The Wedding Cake” will be exhibited at “Cinemateca Capitólio”, apparently the most beautiful movie theater in Porto Alegre! I am extremely glad that my short will be screened again in a real cinema in front of a flesh and blood audience!

“Gang Dance” at the Cinema São Jorge!
My VR360 short film “Gang Dance” ready for viewing in Lisbon as part of the Festa do Cinema Italiano from April 1 to 3 in staging at Cinema São Jorge! I am excited about this screening (details are here), and moved by the words of presentation written by the festival organizers: “A colossal project, premiered in Milan at the Filmmaker Festival. A dance performance that engages and oppresses, denying any form of escape. A symbolic journey into the universe of social networks, reflecting on the abuse of bodies and images, between exposure and sharing.”
A marvel! Go if you are in Lisbon, free entrance.
“The Wedding Cake” in Ulm again!
I am very happy that the fantastic women of the Sister’s Wild Cinema have asked me to screen The Wedding Cake during a film event organized for the Equal Pay Day, tonight at 6:30 p.m. at M25, Münsterplatz 25, in Ulm, in collaboration with the Women’s Office of the City of Ulm and the Neu-Ulm District Equal Opportunity Office.
“Gang Dance” at the “Festa do Cinema Italiano”!
My VR360 short film “Gang Dance” keeps on rolling, this time for its Portuguese premiere! In fact, it has been selected for the prestigious Lusitanian festival wholly dedicated to Italian cinema that after seven days of performances in Lisbon then moves to all the most important Portuguese cities. The Festa do Cinema Italiano – now in its sixteenth edition – will start on March 29 in Lisbon and continue until April 6.
I am really happy with this selection, for me and for my whole team, especially my right-hand man Mikael Moiner, who magnificently took care of all the technical and visual part of the short film!

Festival Number 80 for “The Wedding Cake”!
I have not submitted The Wedding Cake to new festivals since a while – feeling very satisfied about my results so far! – but a friend really wanted me to go for a very special one that has a magical aura, the LIFE AFTER OIL International Film Festival holding its 9th edition in September this year. I am totally thrilled that they selected my film and I can’t wait to see how the Sardinian audience will receive it!
In fact, it will be my premiere on Sardinia, and I will do all possible to be there in person! It is a big celebration also because with LIFE AFTER OIL IFF The Wedding Cake reaches eighty festival selections! I feel incredibly proud and I want to celebrate in person in the small town of Villanovaforru on 20-24 September. Continue reading
“The Wedding Cake” screened one year after at the Doc.London!
As I announced last year, The Doc.London Documentary Film Festival selected The Wedding Cake for the 2021 festival, but due to the COVID-19 situation the screening was postponed to the 2022 edition.
So, it is now due for next Monday March 28th from 8-10 pm, a week from today, at the Close-Up Film Centre in 97 Sclater Street, London, but unfortunately/fortunately the event is sold out already! Reserving tickets for this screening is no longer possible, but some more tickets will free up at the front desk on the evening of the screening.
I feel very sad for not attending, but hopefully my super amazing set designer Adriana Rosati will be there to catch the festival vibes for me!
“The Wedding Cake” at Cortincarcere!
I feel so excited and honored that The Wedding Cake, in addition to being a finalist at the Social Film Festival ArTelesia last year, continues its path inside the festival through a screening today at the auditorium of the Benevento Prison, as an initiative of the “Cortincarcere” project!
I am really pleased that my short is shown in this context, which is one of the most important possible.
