A Travel Grant from Swedish Konstnärsnämnden

I am so grateful, flattered and thrilled! The Swedish Arts Grants Committee (the Konstnärsnämnden) has actually approved my request of funds to travel to Biberach in Germany, in order to attend to the Biberacher Filmfestspiele in November and present The Wedding Cake at the Sisters Wild Cinema screening! This is just sooooo good news, thank you Konstnärsnämnden!!!

So let’s meet on November 4th, from 7 pm, at the Traumpalast Kino!

“The Wedding Cake” at Generazione Mai Più – Messina!

Those of you that follow me are aware by now that my feature docudrama project “The Ultimate Prostitution & Porn Anthology” (for which The Wedding Cake is a pilot) is basically targeting secondary school kids. My goal is for teenagers to watch it and get some off-the-record perspective about what’s going on with selling one’s body for sex, be it in front of a camera or not.

Therefore, you will surely understand my total bliss when I heard that the High School Liceo Artistico “E. Basile” in Messina, Sicily, was going to work on The Wedding Cake for their story board assignment! Their work – and mine! – will be shown tonight at the “Generazione Mai Più” event in my beautiful Messina!

“The Wedding Cake” at the Biberacher and at the Sister’s Wild Cinema Festivals!

A double selection for The Wedding Cake in Germany, finally! My short was one of ten selected for the outdoor screenings at the first edition of the tailor made cozy Sister’s Wild Cinema in Ulm, on September 3rd. I am very glad my film was included in the section Mikrokosmos Familie.

And then, a selection of the Sister’s Wild Cinema will be also screened at the Biberacher Filmfestspiele on November 4th, from 7 pm, at the Traumpalast Kino in Biberach. I am considering traveling there for the event! Continue reading

“Dignity” screened live at the Bright Future Independent Film Festival!

I am truly happy to announce that “Dignity” has been selected for a live screening at Bright Future Independent Film Festival! I am really proud of this because the selection was fierce and because my schedule is to be screened at one of the most unique museum in Sweden, the “Världskulturmuseet – The World Culture Museum” here in Göteborg, on the 8th of October, approximately a few minutes before 5pm. It will feel really great to be able to talk about my short again to an audience after so many years! Here is the Facebook event.

For anyone who is not able to be there, the short will be part of the online broadcasting from 2 to 10 October, so no fear you will miss it if you want to check it out!
