My copy of “Deaths in Venice”!

Finally my copy of the anthology “Deaths in Venice”, containing my short story “A Rose” has reached Sweden! Happy and proud, congratulations to the publisher, Carteggi Letterari Edizioni from Messina, and the curator (and powerful writress) Laura Liberale!

P.S. The photo in the backgroud is a shot by my husband and it was taken at the grand Tjolöholm Castle, where the externals of “Melancholia” by Lars von Trier were shot. Though it would make a significant background…

New anthology “Deaths in Venice”

I am very glad and proud to announce the launching of a new anthology curated by the very elegant Laura Liberale for Carteggi Letterari book publisher. The book is available in Italian only, at present.

I am particularly satisfied with it because of the quality of the other contributors, and also because I am very fond of the story I wrote for it. It is called “A Rose” and I owe its inspiration to a friend from New York that I am very fond of.

The book can be purchased here. But again: it is in Italian 🙂

Marilyn Monroe – A short monologue

[For Marilyn Monroe’s non-90th birthday I decided to post this unpublished monologue, that I wrote with lots of love for a woman that is very very special to me. My clumsy translation into English was thoroughly revised by Ellen McRae]

Joe DiMaggio, my crazy husband who I think loved me more than anyone. Why choose a woman that every American wants to take to bed if you’re jealous whenever anybody even looks at her? It’s like buying a cake when you’re diabetic. But he did love me—in his own crazy and twisted way, trying to suffocate me. With his love. Continue reading

Midsommar
