During my German stay to attend the fabulous the Sisters Wild Cinema – Biberacher Filmfestspiele, I had the great honor of being interviewed by a stunning guy, Henrik Frankenfeld, who has a Friday evening show at the Radio Free FM – Ulm. He was very kind to send me the final cut of our chat in English, during which I could talk about The Wedding Cake and The Ultimate Prostitution and Porn Anthology. Super nice!
I really want to thank again the Konstnärsnämnden, the Swedish Arts Grants Committee, for making it possible for me to travel to the festival!
It’s been a fruitful and exciting summer again for The Wedding Cake! Now I am finalist for the “Best Director Award” in one of the most beautiful towns in the world: Noto, Sicily. I am competing at the Noto International Film Festival, reaching its fifth edition this year, for the award entitled to the famous Italian comedy director Mario Monicelli. The festival will end on 31 August 2021.
I am finally ready with the trailer of “Gang Dance”, please enjoy, although only in a flat version!

Lovely with a new summer festival for The Wedding Cake! In this case, even more as we are talking about the Corto e a Capo – Premio Mario Puzo festival, that is featured in many towns and villages in Apennines of southern Italy from 18 to 24 August 2021.
My short is finalist in the category Social Commitment prize and it would be great to get an award!
I am so surprised, delighted and overwhelmed for having won the award for Best Short Animation with “The Wedding Cake” at the magnificent Beirut International Women Film Festival!
I want to thank the festival organizers, the jury and the audience for this delightful recognition to my little film!
Back to Italy again for a lovely show organized with passion by the directress Clelia Di Briggido in the enchanting medieval town of Moresco (Fermo)!
Corti al Castello will take place 31 July – 2 August and The Wedding Cake is scheduled for the first show on Saturday night, beginning 9:30 pm. It would have been lovely to attend!
I feel so lucky The Wedding Cake is featuring in the very important festival!
It is the first time for the Middle East, and I have longed for this premiere! The Beirut International Women Film Festival will take place July 19 to 24 and my short will be screened on Tuesday 20 July at 5 pm.
I am so glad to be back with The Wedding Cake to one of the best Italian festivals, the Salento Finibus Terrae International Short Film Festival (aka Sa.Fi.Ter) where I won an award 5 years ago with “Dignity”! It feels like going back home and I would have love to be there in person at the stunning Teatro Verdi of San Severo, in Apulia. That area has a special place in my heart and I would have loved to visit again (among other things, to enjoy the best food in the world – I am not exaggerating!).
I am competing in the Human Right section, and the festival will take place 19-20 June, go if you can!
