I am very proud to announce that the sparkling Sisters Wild Cinema and the prestigious Heinrich-Böll Stiftung Baden-Württemberg Foundation have invited me to hold a masterclass about short film distribution on Thursday, 16 December, at 4:30 pm. The class is for free but with limited amount of participants, and it will be held in English and if you wish to attend, please enroll at this link
Interview with Radio Free FM Ulm!
During my German stay to attend the fabulous the Sisters Wild Cinema – Biberacher Filmfestspiele, I had the great honor of being interviewed by a stunning guy, Henrik Frankenfeld, who has a Friday evening show at the Radio Free FM – Ulm. He was very kind to send me the final cut of our chat in English, during which I could talk about The Wedding Cake and The Ultimate Prostitution and Porn Anthology. Super nice!
I really want to thank again the Konstnärsnämnden, the Swedish Arts Grants Committee, for making it possible for me to travel to the festival!
“The Wedding Cake” finalist at the Social ArTelesia!
I am very glad and proud that The Wedding Cake is finalist at the Social Film Festival ArTelesia on November 25th , which is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women!

“The Wedding Cake” at the Hudson NY Shorts!
I have stopped submitting The Wedding Cake to festivals since a while because it has already participated to so many, but I can’t resist invitations from passionate curators such as Bonnie O’Neill, who runs the Hudson NY Shorts Film Festival! On Saturday November 13th at 8pm EST (1 o’clock CET) I will be attending some Q&As online, you are most welcome to join me there!
A Travel Grant from Swedish Konstnärsnämnden
I am so grateful, flattered and thrilled! The Swedish Arts Grants Committee (the Konstnärsnämnden) has actually approved my request of funds to travel to Biberach in Germany, in order to attend to the Biberacher Filmfestspiele in November and present The Wedding Cake at the Sisters Wild Cinema screening! This is just sooooo good news, thank you Konstnärsnämnden!!!
So let’s meet on November 4th, from 7 pm, at the Traumpalast Kino!
“The Wedding Cake” at Generazione Mai Più – Messina!
Those of you that follow me are aware by now that my feature docudrama project “The Ultimate Prostitution & Porn Anthology” (for which The Wedding Cake is a pilot) is basically targeting secondary school kids. My goal is for teenagers to watch it and get some off-the-record perspective about what’s going on with selling one’s body for sex, be it in front of a camera or not.
Therefore, you will surely understand my total bliss when I heard that the High School Liceo Artistico “E. Basile” in Messina, Sicily, was going to work on The Wedding Cake for their story board assignment! Their work – and mine! – will be shown tonight at the “Generazione Mai Più” event in my beautiful Messina!
“The Wedding Cake” at the Biberacher and at the Sister’s Wild Cinema Festivals!
A double selection for The Wedding Cake in Germany, finally! My short was one of ten selected for the outdoor screenings at the first edition of the tailor made cozy Sister’s Wild Cinema in Ulm, on September 3rd. I am very glad my film was included in the section Mikrokosmos Familie.
And then, a selection of the Sister’s Wild Cinema will be also screened at the Biberacher Filmfestspiele on November 4th, from 7 pm, at the Traumpalast Kino in Biberach. I am considering traveling there for the event! Continue reading
“Dignity” screened live at the Bright Future Independent Film Festival!
I am truly happy to announce that “Dignity” has been selected for a live screening at Bright Future Independent Film Festival! I am really proud of this because the selection was fierce and because my schedule is to be screened at one of the most unique museum in Sweden, the “Världskulturmuseet – The World Culture Museum” here in Göteborg, on the 8th of October, approximately a few minutes before 5pm. It will feel really great to be able to talk about my short again to an audience after so many years! Here is the Facebook event.
For anyone who is not able to be there, the short will be part of the online broadcasting from 2 to 10 October, so no fear you will miss it if you want to check it out!
Selected for the “Uppsala Talent Days”!
This is so surprising that I have to pinch myself a little to believe it!
After having been selected with my miniseries project “Klara” for the “Bergman Talent Lab” last summer, I am now again selected for the other really prestigious budding talent event that takes place every end of October during the Uppsala Short Film Festival!
I will be attending the festival with other eight selected talents for the Uppsala Talangdagar, and I am so thrilled! Party time, yay!
“The Wedding Cake” at LiberAzioni Film Festival!
Pride and joy for this precious festival selection! Tonight, at the Cinema Massimo in Turin The Wedding Cake will be competing at one of the most socially important festivals I have ever been to… The LiberAzioni is not just about films, but about a possibility of hope, future, belonging. I could not be happier today, and it surely shows on my face here, struggling with my strong emotions!
