“Dignity” screened live at the Bright Future Independent Film Festival!

I am truly happy to announce that “Dignity” has been selected for a live screening at Bright Future Independent Film Festival! I am really proud of this because the selection was fierce and because my schedule is to be screened at one of the most unique museum in Sweden, the “Världskulturmuseet – The World Culture Museum” here in Göteborg, on the 8th of October, approximately a few minutes before 5pm. It will feel really great to be able to talk about my short again to an audience after so many years! Here is the Facebook event.

For anyone who is not able to be there, the short will be part of the online broadcasting from 2 to 10 October, so no fear you will miss it if you want to check it out!

The Wedding Cake winner of Best Editing Award at NIFF!

What a blast! The editor of The Wedding Cake, Mikael Moiner, won the prize for “Best Editing Award” at the lovely Noto International Film Festival, Sicily. The statuette is on its way, both Mikael and I will show it with pride as soon as received!

The ceremony can be watched on Facebook at this link, the part that involves us starts at around 8:24, and both Mikael and I are proud about the motivation of the jury (which included stellar film experts, among them Steve Della Casa): “An extraordinary visual and audio montage made of frequent cuts and flash images that gives body and expressive quality to the voiceover story, offering a luminous film version of a desperate life.” The president of the jury, Liotta, also mentioned the high quality and the technical maturity of this work. Nice!
