New anthology “Deaths in Venice”

I am very glad and proud to announce the launching of a new anthology curated by the very elegant Laura Liberale for Carteggi Letterari book publisher. The book is available in Italian only, at present.

I am particularly satisfied with it because of the quality of the other contributors, and also because I am very fond of the story I wrote for it. It is called “A Rose” and I owe its inspiration to a friend from New York that I am very fond of.

The book can be purchased here. But again: it is in Italian 🙂

Presentation of my novel “Di morire libera” in Naples

A lot is happening around my novel “Di morire libera” (“To Die Free“) as I had a presentation of the book in the amazing location of Castel dell’Ovo in Naples, with a full house and a very interesting panel! I feel blessed and proud, as the city mayor Mr. de Magistris granted the city patronage!

Many articles have been published about this event, and there is also a nice TV interview with me 🙂

“Dignity” at the FICT, Torrelavega International Short Film Festival!

Each time one of my films gets selected to a festival I feel very satisfied, of course, albeit it is obvious that some festivals do have a greater impact then others because of their history, audience, aura.

Among them the FICT (the Torrelavega International Short Festival), that is held from May 20th to June 3rd at the Teatro Municipal Concha Espina in the town of Torrelavega in Cantabria, Northern Spain. A festival with a very long and prestigious tradition, that has gone as far as its 18th edition!

Therefore, I will beg your pardon for feeling some pride in announcing that “Dignity” has been selected to compete this year, and it will be screened on May 29th, at 7 pm.

And I feel very tempted to go!!

“Dignity” winning two awards at the Docs Without Borders Film Festival!

I am really really delighted for this new recognition of my “Dignity”, that just won TWO merit awards at the Docs Without Borders Film Festival in Nassau (USA). One as “Human Spirit Short” – which is particularly important for me – and the second for its “Excellence for Cinematography”. I am extremely pleased that the value of the images filmed with Fabrizio Del Dotto and Darim A. Da Prato, with the aid of Cinzia Bolognini, is acknowledged in its own merit. We were a small but big team that looked with respect and love at the young girls we met thanks to Emanuela Bonavolta. Thank you all once again!
